Librarian

Contract Librarian We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Librarian to join our team. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing library materials, assisting patrons with research needs, maintaining library systems, and databases. This is a contract position, suitable for individuals who are looking for short-term employment or prefer flexible working arrangements.

• Manage and organize library materials according to established systems
• Assist patrons with research needs by locating and retrieving relevant materials
• Maintain library systems and databases, ensuring accurate record-keeping
• Provide excellent customer service to patrons by answering questions and providing assistance as needed
• Develop and implement creative programs and activities to promote the use of the library
• Stay updated on current trends in library services and technology

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Proven experience working in a library setting
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with library systems and databases preferred

This contract position is open to all nationalities, but preference will be given to Indian candidates. The job location is Sharjah, UAE. No English language skills are required for this position.
