The Role

You will be teaching Science across the secondary school. In the first academic year of the contract (27-28), the successful candidate will teach Grades 7-9 Chemistry and Biology. The following academic year, in the second year of the contract (28-29), the first Grade 11 cohort will begin the IB Diploma Programme, and the successful candidate will teach IB DP Chemistry or Biology.

You may be expected to teach lessons outside of your main subject as the school grows. Leadership roles (subject and programme coordination) are possibilities for the right candidate.

Requirements

• Bachelors / Post-graduate studies in education / relevant teaching subject.
• Valid teaching licence/ current teaching registration preferably from Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, UK, US or Canada (e.g. VIT, QTS).
• Minimum 2 years of post-qualification teaching experience at relevant age range.
• Experience with the IB DP curriculum in either Chemistry of Biology is advantageous.
• Previous international teaching experience, particularly within the Middle East context, would also be an advantage.
• Dynamic and creative approach to teaching and motivatingstudents.
• Flexibility and resilience required to work in a team at a fast growing school, with a willingness to teach across subjects in a growing school.
