- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 10 to 15 years of experience in Marine and O&G sector.
- Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in Structural discipline as Sr. Designer managing Designers and Draftsmen in the engineering department.
- Efficiently manage and support a team of Structural Designers and Detailers on a day-to-day basis, ensuring consistent operational delivery through smart working and efficient execution of their day-to-day tasks.
- liaise with internal clients (HR, IT) and furnish information for smooth functioning of the team.
- liaise with Engineering Manager daily and update overview, project planning, manpower forecast, and software requirements.
- provide assistance to Structural Designers and Detailers on any technical matters to improve productivity and submissions.
- maintain discipline and punctuality of team members.
- improve service delivery performance and reduce costs where possible.
- ensure KPIs are achieved by both teams.
- carry out Engineering Audits as per the plan.
- work alongside the team, assisting with resource requirements and technical issues or queries, and conduct a meeting at least once per week.
- follow up HR process such as formal and informal discussions on manpower requirements.
- support the Business Team in Structural 3D and 2D Detail engineering estimation and queries.
- maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities.
- comply with all the QHSSE rules/regulations of OTS as well as client.
- Understanding of structural connections, fabrication, welding, and offshore installation methodologies.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Good knowledge in 3D software & AutoCAD 2D/3D.
- Experience visiting sites to gather information and details for bids and projects.
- Confidence to lead a team.
- Quick decision‑making ability.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Good communication skills within the team and with clients (writing & verbal).
- Experience working on EPC projects and liaising with clients and third‑party verification bodies.
- ISO, HSE, OHSA certification is an additional feather if qualified.
