Key Objectives
The E&I Construction Work Pack Engineer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing Electrical & Instrumentation construction workpacks to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all E&I construction activities. This role serves as the link between engineering, construction, QA/QC, HSE, vendors, and commissioning teams to ensure all work is fully defined, planned, and executed to meet project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Workpack Development
- Prepare detailed E&I construction workpacks covering work scope, job steps, drawings, loop folders, cable schedules, termination details, installation standards, tools/equipment, manpower requirements, and QA/QC checklists.
- Incorporate latest IFC drawings (single-line diagrams, schematics, installation layouts, instrument datasheets, hook-up drawings, cable routing, tray layouts).
- Define installation methodology for electrical equipment, instruments, junction boxes, cables, earthing, lighting systems, control systems, etc.
- Capture all testing & commissioning prerequisites such as continuity tests, insulation resistance, loop checks, instrument calibration, and pre-energization checks.
