Job SummaryThe HSE Engineer is responsible for ensuring all project activities are carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The role supports the Project & HSE teams by implementing safety plans, conducting inspections, preventing incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture across all construction sites.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe key duties and responsibilities of the HSE Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines across project sites.
- Carry out daily site inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, company standards, and client safety requirements.
- Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety training sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, audits, and safety documentation.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and HSE preparedness programs.
- Support the project team in risk assessment and method statement review.
- Promote continuous improvement and a positive safety culture the organization.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant technical field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an HSE Engineer in construction projects.
- NEBOSH IGC / IOSH certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety standards.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project sites and work under pressure.
