Job SummaryAl Marwan Developments is looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer – Heavy Machinery to oversee electrical systems, maintenance planning, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment across various project sites. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure efficient and safe operation of electrical components in construction machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, cranes, and trucks
- Diagnose complex electrical faults and provide effective technical solutions
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures
- Review and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with mechanical teams, workshop staff, and site personnel for maintenance activities
- Supervise electricians and technicians to ensure quality and timely completion of work
- Maintain accurate reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation
- Support procurement by specifying electrical components and spare parts
- Attend major breakdowns and provide technical guidance for quick resolution
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as required to support operational efficiency
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with heavy machinery or construction equipment
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components in heavy equipment
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with maintenance planning and asset management systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Good communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices
- UAE driving license is an advantage
- Flexible, proactive, and able to work across different locations as required
