Estimation Engineer - EPC Contracting

Responsibilities

• Analyse plans, bills of quantities and other project documentation to estimate costs.
• Attend management meetings and prepare reports as instructed by management.
• Provide technical clarifications and engineering support to sales engineers.
• Carry out sizing and selection of products and systems in compliance with customer and industry specifications and standards.
• Prepare compliance statements with accuracy and coordinate inquiries for subcontract works, ensuring best solutions in estimation quality, delivery and cost.
• Discuss estimation pricing and technical aspects as per procedure, ensuring ISO procedure compliance for all documentation and processes.
• Maintain updated price lists and use them consistently.
• Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors, liaise with stakeholders and support management decisions with appropriate cost information and data.
• Prepare accurate estimations following applicable engineering and customer standards, local and international regulations.
• Maintain engineering catalog, library, relevant engineering standards, rules and regulations, end‑user and consultant specifications, charts, calculations, and technical submittals.
• Prepare required submittals and compliance statements as required.
• Research and development activities per management instructions: source, negotiate and obtain best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Select appropriate product BOM based on customer specifications.
• Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for cost estimates.
• Submit estimations by deadline, ensuring priorities such as RFQ management and tender costing, coordinating with finance, QA, HR, etc.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial project estimation (e.g., pumping stations, substations).
