Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE plans and procedures specifically tailored for road construction projects, ensuring alignment with local regulations and international best practices.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards related to road construction activities, including traffic management, excavation, and heavy machinery operations.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence within road project environments.
- Provide expert HSE training and mentoring to construction personnel, emphasizing safe work practices, hazard recognition, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in road projects.
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Holds a relevant professional certification such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in HSE roles, with a strong focus on road construction projects.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of road construction methodologies, equipment, and associated hazards.
