Wood is recruiting for a Rotational Support / Remote Engineer - Instrument & Control to join its UAE business unit. The engineer will provide day-to-day I&C engineering support for site operations, addressing queries, activities and risks related to safe, reliable and compliant operations. The role collaborates with the site-based team to progress long-term engineering solutions and reduce risk while supporting production growth.

• Perform day-to-day I&C engineering support to deliver immediate operations support, working closely with the site team to resolve issues under the direction of the Operations Engineering Manager.
• Ensure that asset I&C engineering risks are understood, appropriately risk assessed, and actions driven to reduce risk within agreed timeframe.
• Define I&C engineering operating envelopes, monitor health of static I&C equipment, record and investigate excursions outside operating envelopes.
• Monitor I&C engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and initiate corrective action as necessary.
• Provide I&C engineering support to technical Management of Change (MoCs) and Engineering Queries (EQs).
• Identify production vulnerabilities and optimization opportunities to support production forecast and growth.
• Write, review, recommend technical input into Site Operations Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide I&C engineering coaching to client engineers.
• Generate, revise, review discipline technical documentation.

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline and/or equivalent relevant professional qualification.
• Professional accreditation – Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer.
• Significant experience in an Operations I&C engineering support role.
• Advanced technical knowledge and experience in engineering, with sound knowledge of the relevant industry codes, standards and regulations, and the ability to initiate guidance on the appropriate designs and systems to prevent, control and mitigate risks.
• Sound stakeholder management experience.
