Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview

Rotational Support / Remote Engineer – Mechanical (Full‑time, Sharjah, UAE) – Provide day‑to‑day mechanical engineering support for site operations, addressing queries, activities, and risks to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant delivery.

• Deliver immediate mechanical engineering support and resolve site issues under the direction of the Operations Engineering Manager.
• Understand, assess and mitigate mechanical engineering risks, driving actions to reduce risk within agreed time frames.
• Define static mechanical engineering operating envelopes, monitor equipment health, record and investigate excursions.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for static mechanical engineering and initiate corrective action as needed.
• Support technical Management of Change (MoCs) and Engineering Queries (EQs).
• Identify production vulnerabilities and optimization opportunities to support forecasting and growth.
• Write, review and recommend technical inputs for Site Operations Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide static mechanical engineering coaching to NOC and NGC engineers.
• Generate, revise and review discipline technical documentation.
• Collaborate with the site‑based team to progress longer‑term engineering solutions, reducing risk and driving production growth.

• BSc, BEng, or MEng (UK), BSc (US), or international equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering subject.
• Professional accreditation – Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer.
• Significant experience in an operations mechanical engineering support role.
• Advanced technical knowledge of industry codes, standards and regulations, with the ability to guide design and system selection to prevent and mitigate risks.
• Sound stakeholder management experience.
