Mechanical Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Knowledge in technical specifications and interpretation of drawings.
• Study aware of the IFC drawings, conditions of contract, project specification, tender document.
• Design review, preparation of design calculation and shop drawings.
• Coordination with the Consultant, Client, Civil Contractors, Subcontractors and other services for the timely execution of mechanical works.
• Attending technical coordination and progress meeting at project site to achieve the target set by the Client and Consultant for the completion of project.
• Take off actual quantities and submit to HO for timely orders.
• Responsible for issuing material request, follow up Letter of Orders in coordination with HO and delivery, ensure that the materials are available at site well in advance for site installation.
• Submit and follow up shop drawing submittal approval and make sure that the shop drawings and materials are being approved prior to site installation.
• Ensure/Monitor that the installation work is as per the approved shop drawings material and also used the approved method statement.
• Ensure/Monitor that the site is following the approved QA QC procedures (Method statements, Fire safety procedures).
• Ensure/Monitor that all the site installation works are being inspected and approved as outlined in our PQP Project Quality Plan in coordination with QA QC engineers at site.
• Monitor follow up subcontractors work.
• Report the work progress to the Project Manager and to the site planning engineer for timely submission.

• B.Sc/BE (Mech/ Elec)
• Minimum 08-12 years of experience in an MEP contracting company as Project Engineer.
• At least 5 years of experience in UAE/Gulf.
