Site Engineer Electrical

Responsibilities

• Knowledge in technical specifications and interpretation of drawings; study of IFC drawings and contract conditions, project specification, and tender documents.
• Design review and preparation of design calculations and shop drawings.
• Coordination with the consultant, client, contractors, subcontractors, and other services for the timely execution of mechanical works.
• Attending technical coordination and progress meetings at the project site to achieve the targets set by the client and consultant for completion of the project.
• Take‑off and actual quantity calculation; submit to the head office for timely orders.
• Responsible for issuing material requests, following up with Letter of Orders in coordination with the head office and ensuring that materials are available at the site well in advance for installation.
• Submit and follow up on shop drawing submittal approval, ensuring that shop drawings and materials are approved prior to site installation.
• Monitor that the installation work is according to the approved shop drawings, the material, and the approved method statement.
• Monitor that the site follows the approved QA/QC procedures, method statements, and fire safety procedures.
• Ensure that all site installation works are inspected and approved as outlined in the PQP Project Quality Plan, in coordination with QA/QC engineers at the site.
• Monitor and follow up on subcontractors’ work.
• Report work progress to the Project Manager and to the site planning engineer for timely submission.

• B.Sc/BE (Electronics) with a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a MEP contracting company as a Site Engineer, and at least 3 years of experience in the UAE/Gulf region.
