CSE Engineer (Project)
Provides technical expertise on the optimal KONE product for the customer, translating customer needs into product-specific requirements and coordinating all engineering work until project handover.
Responsibilities and Key Tasks- Collaborate with sales to find optimal KONE products for non-standard or engineering requirements; select the correct product platform and ensure competitive offers.
- Perform product planning and costing for supply line, installation, maintenance, and project management; provide accurate product costings in non‑standard cases.
- Develop detailed custom product plans for non‑standard cases; create specifications for corporate and local materials; conduct initial and revised energy calculations and simple traffic analyses.
- Lead technical site surveys and prepare technical content of orders between MS 0b and MS 2z.
- Coordinate product lead times from supply line and local sourcing; ensure installability, maintainability, and compliance with local codes, regulations, and KONE Engineering Policy.
- Provide content for pre‑booking reviews (technical product, costs, lead times, risks) and execute holistic product planning activities.
- Manage layout creation, analyze change requirements, propose new product designs, and provide necessary details for ordering materials and documentation.
- Share knowledge with maintenance as needed and participate in product and new service release information sessions.
- Provide technical training to Sales, Installation, and Maintenance teams and offer input to product offering management regarding customization, standardization, and interface requirements.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum five years of experience in the elevator industry and proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and influencing skills in English.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills across diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Analytical thinking with a focus on details.
- Experience working with global colleagues across time zones and cultural differences.
- Technical understanding of elevators, escalators, and advanced people flow solutions is a plus.
