Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive NOC Engineer to join our Roads & Infrastructure team in Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining authority approvals, managing No Objection Certificates (NOCs), coordinating with government entities and utility providers, and ensuring all project permits are secured in a timely manner.
This role is critical to maintaining project schedules, regulatory compliance, and seamless coordination between authorities, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the complete NOC and permit approval process for road and infrastructure projects.
• Liaise directly with government authorities, utility providers, and service agencies to obtain project approvals and permits.
• Monitor authority comments and ensure prompt revisions and resubmissions.
• Maintain accurate records of submissions, approvals, permits, and authority correspondence.
• Coordinate with consultants, site engineers, project managers, and utility agencies to facilitate approvals.
• Attend meetings with authorities and stakeholders when required.
• Ensure compliance with UAE infrastructure regulations, authority standards, and project specifications.
• Identify and resolve approval-related issues that may impact project timelines.
• Support project teams in minimizing authority-related delays and risks.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in NOC coordination for roads and infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience obtaining approvals from Sharjah authorities and utility providers.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Traffic management and diversion approvals
• Excavation and road cutting permits
• Infrastructure authority requirements and standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent follow-up and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple submissions and meet strict deadlines.
• Arabic language proficiency is highly preferred.
