Procurement Executive

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Executive with a strong background in international sourcing and procurement of mechanical and industrial products. The ideal candidate will possess a Mechanical Engineering degree and hands‑on experience in sourcing materials, components, and equipment from global suppliers while ensuring cost optimization, quality compliance, and timely delivery.

The role requires strong technical understanding of mechanical products, supplier negotiation skills, and experience managing end-to-end procurement activities in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or trading environment.

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard international suppliers for mechanical, industrial, and engineering products.
• Source materials, components, spare parts, lifting equipment, wire ropes, industrial hardware, and related mechanical products from global markets.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contractual conditions.
• Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a reliable supplier network across international markets.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.
• Resolve supplier‑related issues concerning quality, delivery delays, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments where required.

• Review technical specifications, engineering drawings, datasheets, and product requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, sales, and operations teams to ensure accurate procurement of materials and equipment.
• Verify supplier compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
• Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory requirements and coordinate replenishment activities.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and procurement reports.

• Coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics providers for international shipments.
• Manage import/export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs requirements.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company procurement procedures.

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality and performance.
• Analyze procurement trends and recommend sourcing strategies.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to procurement.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).

• 3–7 years of experience in procurement and international sourcing of mechanical or industrial products.
• Experience sourcing from international markets including Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
• Previous experience in industrial equipment, engineering products, manufacturing, oil & gas, marine, construction, or material handling industries is preferred.

• Strong understanding of mechanical components, industrial equipment, engineering materials, and technical specifications.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with international shipping, Incoterms, customs regulations, and import/export procedures.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
