Procurement Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer– Estimation & Tendering (Civil Engineer) to join our growing contracting team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roadworks, infrastructure, utilities, asphalt works, and civil construction projects within the UAE, particularly the Northern Emirates. The candidate will work closely with the Estimation Department to secure competitive supplier and subcontractor pricing, support tender preparation, and contribute to successful bid submissions.

• Support the Estimation Department during pre-tender and tendering stages.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and procurement requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors for roadworks, asphalt, infrastructure, drainage, utilities, landscaping, and civil works.
• Prepare commercial comparison sheets and procurement recommendations.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist in developing competitive tender pricing and cost build-ups.
• Coordinate with estimators, engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure accurate costing.
• Source alternative suppliers, materials, and value-engineering options to improve bid competitiveness.
• Maintain and update supplier databases, market rates, and subcontractor records.
• Monitor material price trends and market conditions affecting tender pricing.
• Support post-award procurement planning and supplier engagement as required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in procurement, estimation support, or tendering within civil contracting.
• Strong experience in roads, infrastructure, utilities, drainage, and asphalt projects.
• Proven knowledge of suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors across the Northern Emirates and UAE market.
• Familiarity with asphalt materials, aggregates, road marking materials, kerb stones, interlock, utility materials, and infrastructure-related products.
• Experience working with infrastructure and road contracting companies is highly preferred.

• ERP Systems experience is an advantage.

• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines.
• Strong understanding of UAE road and infrastructure market rates.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• UAE Driving License preferred.
