Oneworks is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong construction supervision expertise to join our team in our Dubai office and support a high-profile airport project in the region. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing on-site MEP construction activities and ensuring the contractor's work complies with design specifications, industry standards, and project requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline;
- Master’s degree is a plus;
- Minimum 15 years of total experience in mechanical engineering, including at least 5 years in airport projects;
- Proven experience in construction supervision and site-based roles, specifically within the MEP domain;
- Previous experience in leading engineering teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders on large-scale infrastructure projects;
- Solid understanding of local and international mechanical codes and standards;
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to guide junior engineers and inspectors;
- UAE/GCC experience required;
- Familiarity with BIM workflows is advantageous;
- Familiarity with Aconex for project documentation and correspondence, and Proficient AutoCAD skills;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English;
- Ability to join within 1 month or less.
- Supervise and monitor the mechanical aspects of construction works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and relevant codes;
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day site activities with the contractor, reporting progress, risks, and issues to the Resident Engineer and Project Management team;
- Review and approve method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and as built documentation;
- Lead a team of engineers and inspectors; delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure timely completion of inspections and site-related tasks;
- Participate in progress and coordination meetings; contribute technical expertise and ensure resolution of site issues;
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control processes are implemented and followed throughout the mechanical works;
- Support testing and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and operated in accordance with project specifications;
- Maintain clear documentation of site activities, issues, and resolutions;
- Ensure all safety protocols and site regulations are strictly followed.
