Planning Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a competent and autonomous Planning Engineer with a solid foundation in Civil Engineering to oversee project scheduling, progress tracking, and performance analysis for our running civil infrastructure projects. As the Main Contractor, we require a professional who understands the physical execution of civil works and can operate with minimal supervision to develop robust baselines, perform critical path analysis, and support project reporting.

• Scheduling & Baseline Management:
  Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules (Baseline, Revised, and Recovery programs) using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Progress Monitoring:
  Conduct regular site progress assessments, perform critical path analysis, and identify potential bottlenecks or variances against the planned schedule.
• Reporting:
  Generate comprehensive analytical reports, cash flow projections, and S-curves for both internal management and clients.
• Claim & Extension Support:
  Provide technical and data-driven support for Extension of Time (EOT) claims, variations, and delay analysis.
• Coordination:
  Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and commercial teams to ensure alignment on project milestones and deliverables.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 3 years of experience in civil infrastructure projects, specifically focusing on roads, sewerage, and drainage networks.
• Technical Expertise:
  Expert-level mastery of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Regional Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of UAE municipal authority approval processes and compliance standards (particularly within Sharjah/UAE).
• Autonomy:
  Proven ability to work independently, manage running projects proactively, and handle technical challenges with minimal supervision.

Prior experience working directly for a Main Contractor is highly preferred.
