Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the mechanical aspects of construction works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and relevant codes.
• Manage and coordinate day‑to‑day site activities with the contractor, reporting progress, risks, and issues to the Resident Engineer and Project Management team.
• Review and approve method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and as‑built documentation.
• Lead a team of engineers and inspectors, delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure timely completion of inspections and site‑related tasks.
• Participate in progress and coordination meetings, contribute technical expertise, and ensure resolution of site issues.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control processes are implemented and followed throughout the mechanical works.
• Support testing and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and operated in accordance with project specifications.
• Maintain clear documentation of site activities, issues, and resolutions.
• Ensure all safety protocols and site regulations are strictly followed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline;
  Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of total experience in mechanical engineering, including at least 5 years in airport projects.
• Proven experience in construction supervision and site‑based roles, specifically within the MEP domain.
• Previous experience in leading engineering teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of local and international mechanical codes and standards.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to guide junior engineers and inspectors.
• UAE/GCC experience required.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Aconex for project documentation and correspondence, and proficient AutoCAD skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to join within one month or less.
