Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Reservoir Engineer (UAEN)

Job Purpose

The Reservoir Engineer supports reservoir management and field development through reservoir engineering principles and integrated subsurface analysis. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the role evaluates reservoir behaviour, analyzes production and well performance, and develops fit‑for‑purpose reservoir engineering and simulation models to maximise hydrocarbon recovery and optimise field performance. The role integrates geological, geophysical, petrophysical, fluid, pressure, and production data to support reservoir surveillance, production forecasting, reserves assessment, depletion planning, and the identification of production enhancement opportunities.

Main

Responsibilities
  • Conduct reservoir surveillance and performance monitoring using production, pressure, and fluid breakthrough data.
  • Build and maintain reservoir engineering models by integrating geological models with production datasets.
  • Perform engineering studies, including production forecasting, reserves estimation, material balance, Decline Curve Analysis (DCA), and Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA).
  • Provide reservoir engineering input to field development concepts, depletion strategies, and drilling/infill opportunities.
  • Recommend production enhancement initiatives to maximise recovery efficiency and extend asset field life.
  • Plan and support well testing and reservoir data‑acquisition programmes, including defining reservoir data requirements, reviewing test objectives, and interpreting results to reduce subsurface uncertainty.
  • Prepare technical reports and reserves assessments to communicate asset outcomes to management and partners.
  • Collaborate with geology, geophysics, drilling, production, facilities, and operations teams to deliver integrated subsurface workflows and support safe, efficient field development.
  • Maintain reservoir engineering datasets, technical documentation, assumptions, and work processes in accordance with company standards, technical guidelines, and industry best practice.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Geoscience, or a related engineering discipline from a recognised university.
  • A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in reservoir engineering, field development, reservoir management, or production optimization within the upstream oil and gas industry.
