Role Context

The Electrical Engineer - MEP Systems supports the successful delivery of electrical design and construction activities across buildings, roads, infrastructure, and related MEP systems. The position helps ensure electrical deliverables meet contract requirements, project objectives, design standards, construction schedules, quality expectations, and stakeholder needs. By coordinating technical inputs, managing design interfaces, monitoring progress, and supporting project controls, the role contributes to safe, efficient, and well-integrated project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete complex electrical engineering assignments by applying engineering techniques, calculations, reviews, and technical analysis.
  • Prepare, review, and manage electrical design deliverables during design and construction stages for building and infrastructure projects.
  • Support MEP systems delivery by coordinating electrical requirements with other engineering disciplines and construction teams.
  • Manage electrical deliverables to ensure compliance with contract documents, project objectives, design briefs, and approved standards.
  • Coordinate project interactions among clients, consultants, contractors, local stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Integrate competing or conflicting project elements into planning and execution processes to keep project requirements moving smoothly.
  • Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and attend public meetings when required to support client objectives.
  • Support the Project Manager in preparing the Project Design Management Plan, Project Execution Plan, Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plan, and related project documents.
  • Establish program requirements for assigned project areas and contribute to the development, implementation, and management of electrical engineering scope.
  • Prepare project design briefs for team reference and technical coordination.
  • Monitor third-party design consultant KPIs, design deliverables, technical submissions, and progress against the approved design brief.
  • Work with project managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, plans, and delivery strategies for assigned project elements.
  • Help ensure the project meets or exceeds goals established in budget, schedule, quality, and execution plans.
  • Support the maintenance and timely processing of change orders linked to third-party design consultants.
  • Promote technical and commercial excellence through effective use of quality assurance processes.
  • Monitor and report progress of project design and construction activities, including milestones, risks, delays, and conditions affecting cost or schedule.
  • Participate in weekly progress meetings, review project status, identify constraints, and support action item follow-up.
  • Review electrical designs, calculations, layouts, shop drawings, technical submittals, and construction-related documentation as required.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design interfaces, site issues, electrical conflicts, and authority-related requirements.
  • Maintain clear engineering records, correspondence, reports, and project documentation.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with the role as assigned by project leadership.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing and supervising road projects, infrastructure works, and related electrical engineering activities.
  • Experience delivering MEP systems for building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design, construction supervision, project coordination, engineering deliverables, and infrastructure project procedures.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with third-party clients, consultants, contractors, local authorities, and internal project teams.
