Project Engineer Mechanical​/Electrical

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, execution and monitoring of project activities
• Supervise and coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical utility and machinery installation works executed by contractors
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, BOQs and support drafting revisions where required
• Coordinate material requirements with the procurement team and ensure timely material availability at site
• Ensure contractors execute work as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedule and HSE requirements
• Monitor daily site progress and contractor performance and report any delays or issues to the Project Manager
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality assurance, compliance and adherence to project specifications
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal departments to resolve technical and execution issues
• Maintain project documentation, technical records, approvals, progress reports and meeting minutes
• Support machinery erection, installation, alignment, utility integration, testing and commissioning activities
• Identify project risks, technical issues and delays and recommend corrective actions to the Project Manager

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial project execution
• Knowledge of machinery installation, utility systems, and multidisciplinary project coordination
• Proficiency in engineering drawings, AutoCAD, BOQs, MS Office, and project documentation
• Experience in the non-ferrous metal recycling industry will be preferred
