Project Engineer – Fire Alarm/PAVA/Emergency Lighting

Job Summary
We are seeking a competent and experienced Project Engineer to manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of Fire Alarm, PAVA (Public Address & Voice Alarm), Central Battery, and Emergency Lighting systems for commercial projects, preferably shopping malls and large developments in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution & Site Supervision
- Supervise installation of Fire Alarm, PAVA, Central Battery, and Emergency Lighting systems.
- Ensure all works are executed as per approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Monitor site activities and ensure progress as per project schedule.
2. Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct and witness testing & commissioning of all ELV/fire life safety systems.
- Coordinate with consultants and authorities for inspections and approvals.
3. Design & Technical Coordination
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with MEP contractors, consultants, and internal teams for smooth execution.
4. Compliance & Authority Requirements
- Ensure compliance with UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, Civil Defence regulations, and NFPA standards.
- Handle authority inspections (Sharjah Civil Defence) and approvals.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, inspection reports, and snag lists.
- Maintain records of testing, commissioning, and approvals.
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years UAE/GCC experience in Fire Alarm & Life Safety Systems
- Strong knowledge of:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- PAVA / Voice Evacuation Systems
- Central Battery & Emergency Lighting
- Experience in Mall / Commercial Projects (Mandatory / Preferred)
- Familiar with NFPA & UAE Civil Defence regulations
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
- UAE Driving License (preferred)
- Experience in shopping malls, high-rise buildings, or large commercial developments
- Exposure to integrated systems (Fire Alarm + PAVA + BMS interface)
- Experience in authority approvals in Sharjah / UAE
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Time management and project execution skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
