Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret MEP drawings specifications and technical documents
- Supervise installation of mechanical HVAC ventilation electrical power lighting low current and plumbing systems on-site
- Coordinate MEP works with civil structural teams to avoid clashes and ensure smooth integration relevant for tents shades structures with lighting ventilation fire safety systems etc
- Ensure compliance with UAE electrical mechanical codes civil defense fire safety requirements and international standards
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress quality and adherence to specifications
- Prepare technical submittals material approvals and shop drawings for MEP works
- Coordinate with MEP subcontractors suppliers and consultants
- Identify and resolve technical issues or design conflicts on-site
- Support testing and commissioning of MEP systems before handover
- Maintain MEP documentation inspection reports and as-built drawings
- Assist in MEP-related material take-offs and cost estimates when needed
- Ensure health safety compliance during MEP installation works
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 2–5 years of relevant MEP experience, ideally in construction or structural/tensile projects
- UAE experience preferred, including familiarity with Civil Defense and DEWA/SEWA requirements (Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority)
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and standards (NFPA, IEC, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, etc.)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MEP design/coordination software
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical specifications
- Good problem-solving and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills for liaising with contractors, consultants, and authorities
- Attention to detail, especially around safety-critical systems
