WSP in the Middle East is seeking a motivated Emirati Graduate Engineer to join our Marine Infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in Civil, Structural, or Marine Engineering who is interested in developing a career in marine infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers on a variety of marine projects while gaining valuable hands‑on experience and professional development opportunities.
ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and Design
- Support the planning and design of marine infrastructure projects.
- Assist with technical studies, calculations, drawings, and reports.
- Coordinate with different engineering disciplines to support project delivery.
- Assist with the analysis and design of marine structures such as quay walls, jetties, and breakwaters.
- Use engineering software to support design and assessment activities.
- Contribute to selecting suitable materials and construction methods.
- Provide technical support during construction activities and site visits.
- Assist in resolving design-related issues and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental standards in all project activities.
- Support sustainable and environmentally responsible engineering practices.
- Maintain project documentation, drawings, calculations, and reports.
- Assist with project progress reporting and stakeholder documentation.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices.
- Participate in training and development opportunities.
- UAE National (with a valid Family Book).
- A bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering (with a focus on marine infrastructure), or a related field.
- Recent graduate or up to 2 years of professional experience in marine infrastructure projects.
- Solid understanding of marine engineering principles, design standards, and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, or similar.
- Familiarity with marine construction techniques and materials.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
