Site Engineer – Electrical 33kV/132kV Cabling
Experience: Minimum 5 years in HV cable installation, testing and commissioning, preferably SEWA/DEWA/TAQA certified.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and execute the laying, jointing and termination of 33kV/132kV HV cables as per SEWA/DEWA/TAQA standards.
- Coordinate cable‑route surveys, trenching, ducting and pulling activities on site.
- Oversee HV cable testing (IR, VLF, sheath, partial discharge) and prepare test documentation for utility approval.
- Liaise with SEWA, DEWA, TAQA for permits, inspections and NOCs.
- Prepare method statements, RAMS, ITPs, as‑built drawings and cable schedules.
- Enforce PTW, LOTO and HV safety procedures on site.
- Supervise technicians, jointors and subcontractors; report daily progress to the Project Manager.
- Conduct QA/QC checks at each installation stage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience in electrical site engineering.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or NEBOSH.
- Experience in large‑scale construction projects, preferably commercial or industrial.
- SEWA/DEWA/TAQA approved certification for HV works (preferred).
