Structural Engineer

LITCO Industries is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer / Design Engineer to join our engineering team in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design, engineering drawings, detailing, and technical coordination for structural steel and metalwork projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in structural steel design, fabrication drawings, engineering calculations, and coordination with production and project teams
.

• Prepare and review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documents for steel structures and metalwork.

• Perform structural analysis and design in accordance with applicable international standards and project specifications.

• Prepare structural GA drawings, fabrication/shop drawings, connection details, and design documentation.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, project engineers, production, and fabrication teams.

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.

• Ensure designs are practical and suitable for fabrication, erection, and site installation.

• Coordinate closely with the production and fabrication teams to resolve technical and design-related issues.

• Review and approve shop/fabrication drawings and provide technical clarifications when required.

• Conduct design checks and identify potential clashes, discrepancies, and constructability issues.

• Support material take-offs, quantity calculations, and technical submissions.

• Assist with engineering changes, revisions, variations, and project documentation.

• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, safety requirements, and client specifications.

• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation when required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in structural engineering/design.

• UAE experience is preferred.

• Experience in structural steel fabrication, steel structures, metal works, PEB, or industrial projects is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of structural steel design, connections, fabrication, and erection.

Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and technical documents

• Strong knowledge of structural steel and connection design.

• Good understanding of fabrication and erection processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, production, QA/QC, and project teams.

• Good communication and technical reporting skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail.
