Instrument Engineer - UAE National
Key responsibilities For Graduate and Engineers (0-3 Years)
Assist in the design and development of instrumentation and control systems for oil and gas facilities.
Support the preparation and review of instrument datasheets, specifications, and technical documentation.
Participate in the development of instrument index, I/O lists, cause & effect charts, and control philosophies.
Assist in reviewing P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and control system architecture.
Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), and commissioning activities.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Piping disciplines.
Participate in site surveys, inspections, and technical meetings.
Ensure compliance with company HSE, quality, and engineering standards.
For Engineers (4-10 Years)
Perform detailed engineering and design activities for instrumentation and control systems on Oil & Gas projects.
Prepare and review instrumentation deliverables including specifications, datasheets, instrument index, cable schedules, and logic diagrams.
Develop control system architecture for DCS, PLC, ESD, SCADA, and F&G systems.
Review vendor packages and provide technical bid evaluations.
Support procurement activities and resolve technical queries from vendors and contractors.
Participate in HAZOP, SIL, Design Reviews, and Constructability Reviews.
Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues during project execution and operations.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable international standards.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
QualificationsGraduate and Junior Engineers (0-3 Years)
Bachelor's Degree in:
Instrumentation Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Internship or project experience within Oil & Gas, or EPC industries is an advantage.
4-10 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control Engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Refinery, Offshore, Power, or EPC projects.
Experience in FEED, Detailed Design, Brownfield, Greenfield, EPC, or Operations environments is highly preferred.
Understanding of Instrument Datasheets, Instrument Index, Loop Diagrams, Control Narratives, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Control Narratives, Cable schedules, Hook
-Up Diagrams
Knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, ISA, API, IEEE, NFPA, SIL, Functional Safety Standards
