Minimum 3 Years in Oil & Gas Projects
Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer with experience in the selection, design review, engineering and technical evaluation of rotating equipment used in Oil & Gas and industrial facilities. The candidate should demonstrate a strong understanding of rotating equipment performance, mechanical integrity, applicable API and ISO standards, and EPC engineering practices.
Key Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in rotating equipment engineering, preferably in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge of centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, turbines and associated auxiliary systems.
- Familiarity with API 610, API 617, API 618, API 619, API 674, API 675, API 682 and ISO 5199, as applicable to the equipment.
- Ability to review equipment selection, performance curves, hydraulic operating conditions, NPSH, efficiency, power requirements and operating envelopes.
- Understanding of mechanical seals, bearing systems, lubrication systems, couplings, shaft alignment and vibration monitoring.
- Experience in evaluating rotating equipment datasheets, technical specifications, vendor drawings and performance test procedures.
- Familiarity with vibration analysis, equipment reliability, rotor dynamics and machinery troubleshooting.
- Understanding of equipment foundation requirements, dynamic loading, nozzle loads and piping interface requirements.
- Experience in technical bid evaluations, vendor coordination, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and equipment inspection.
- Knowledge of installation, commissioning, start-up and maintenance requirements for rotating machinery.
- Familiarity with ADNOC specifications and applicable API, ASME and ISO standards.
- Strong coordination skills with process, piping, electrical, instrumentation and structural engineering disciplines.
- Offshore project experience and familiarity with equipment condition monitoring systems will be an advantage.
