Senior Officer - Retail Credit - Emirati Talent

To ensure high standards and quality of retail credit analysis through effective review and assessment of credit applications and proposals, in line with approved credit policies, procedures, risk parameters, and regulatory requirements

• Review the application forms in line with the bank policies and procedures pertaining to the Credit Initiation Process; draft comments / recommendations regarding the provision or decline of credit as well as related terms and conditions.
• Review the financial position of the applicant on the basis of documents supporting the application form.
• Study the (bank) account performance of the applicant and evaluate the credit proposal for the requested credit amount and other terms and conditions.
• Review bank statements of the applicant and study the applicant’s existing / recent credit history, if any, to identify credit repayment influencing behaviours such as postponement of installments / overdue installments / recovery of overdraft against salary, among others.
• Ensure that approved credit requests are in accordance with the bank's policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties or responsibilities that are consistent with the employee Role and assigned by the management.

Incumbent requires analytical skills to assess credit proposals. He/she is responsible for quality assessment of credit applications and recommending credit decisions.

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

• 1 to 3 years of experience in banking industry within corporate or retail credit.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to prepare and analyze MIS reports and other management reports.
• General understanding of retail credit policies and practices within the banking sector, including applicable provisions, limits, terms, and conditions.
