Senior Software Asset Management; SAM

Client Introduction

In this role, you will collaborate closely with one of our esteemed clients—a global leader in their industry, recognized for their commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence. They have partnered with Dautom as their trusted IT consulting provider for upcoming strategic initiatives.

  Experience:
  
  6–10 years of hands‑on Software Asset Management / Licensing experience (not procurement‑only or CMDB‑only profiles).
• Service Provider / MSP Background: Prior experience working with a service provider, MSP, or managed services vendor delivering SAM services to enterprise or government clients.
• Service Now SAM Pro Certified: Active Service Now SAM Pro certification is mandatory. Hands‑on administration and configuration of SAM Pro required.
• Fin Ops Hands‑On Demonstrable Fin Ops
  
  Experience:
  
  Cloud cost optimization, showback/chargeback, Azure/SaaS consumption analysis, and Fin Ops‑aligned license optimization. Fin Ops Certified Practitioner preferred.
• Vendor Licensing Depth: Expert‑level licensing knowledge across at least four of:
  Microsoft (M365, Windows Server, SQL, AVS), Adobe, Autodesk, Oracle, VMware/Broadcom, Red Hat.
• Audit Leadership: Has personally led or been a core participant in at least two major vendor audits (Microsoft / Oracle / Adobe / Autodesk / VMware).
• Contract Negotiation: Proven track record in EA renewals, subscription renewals, and vendor negotiations with documented savings or cost‑avoidance outcomes.
• SAM Tooling: Hands‑on administration of at least one of:
  Service Now SAM Pro (required as above), Flexera One / Flex Net, SNOW License Manager.
