Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Technician role based in Sharjah. The Technician will handle the inspection, testing, and refurbishment of laptops, desktops, hard drives, memory modules, and other IT hardware in line with ITAD and R2V3 standards. Daily tasks include diagnosing hardware issues, performing repairs or component replacements, securely handling and preparing devices for data wiping, and documenting work performed in internal systems.
The role also involves following quality control procedures, adhering to safety and environmental guidelines, organizing inventory, and collaborating with team members to meet monthly processing targets.
- Strong technical skills in diagnosing, repairing, and testing laptops, desktops, hard drives, and memory components.
- Ability to follow standardized procedures, quality control protocols, and safety guidelines in an ITAD or electronics processing environment.
- Basic familiarity with data security practices, including secure handling of devices and coordination with data erasure processes.
- Good organizational and time management skills to work efficiently with high volumes of hardware and meet production goals.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting work, reporting issues, and collaborating with colleagues.
- Ability to work on-site in a warehouse or workshop setting, including standing for extended periods and handling equipment safely.
- Prior experience in electronics repair, computer hardware servicing, or IT support is an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics, computer hardware, or related fields is preferred.
