Network Engineer – Ruckus & FortiGate UAE

Platinum Inc. Consultancy is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished Network Engineer with 5+ years of professional networking experience and deep expertise in Ruckus Wireless and Forti Gate Firewalls to join our client engagement team on a full-time, permanent basis in Sharjah, UAE. In this specialized enterprise networking and wireless infrastructure role, you will spearhead managing Ruckus wireless architectures, enterprise switching environments, and next-generation firewall security policies.

You will work closely with enterprise IT teams, infrastructure architects, and external technology vendors to ensure high network availability, robust security, and optimal wireless performance. Ideal candidates bring a robust academic degree in IT or computer science, professional certifications such as CCNA or Fortinet NSE, and immediate availability for deployment in Sharjah.

As a Network Engineer at Platinum Inc. Consultancy in Sharjah, UAE, you will take full ownership of designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise network and wireless infrastructures. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass managing Ruckus Smart Zone, Cloud, RUCKUS One, and Unleashed environments, administering Forti Gate firewalls (policies, NAT, VPN, routing, HA), configuring Cisco, Aruba, HPE, and Dell switches, and performing RF optimization and wireless site surveys.

You will troubleshoot network incidents, manage change requests, analyze Wireshark logs, and collaborate with vendors to deliver secure, reliable connectivity. Working in a fast-paced environment offering AED 6,000 per month plus individual benefits as per UAE Labour Law, you will drive infrastructure excellence.

• Manage, configure, and optimize Ruckus wireless ecosystems including Smart Zone, Ruckus Cloud, RUCKUS One, and Unleashed platforms.
• Administer Forti Gate firewalls, configuring security policies, NAT rules, IPsec/SSL VPN tunnels, advanced routing, and High Availability (HA).
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise switching platforms across Cisco, Aruba, HPE, and Dell hardware.
• Manage core network services including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, 802.1X authentication, and RADIUS server integrations.
• Conduct rigorous wireless troubleshooting, RF optimization, spectrum analysis, and physical site surveys.
• Design and implement secure IPsec VPN tunnels, SD-WAN fabrics, and advanced network security controls.
• Perform packet captures and deep-dive network/wireless log analysis utilizing Wireshark and network monitoring tooling.
• Manage network incidents, root-cause investigations, change management requests, and infrastructure vendor coordination.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, network topology diagrams, and asset configuration registers.
• Ensure strict adherence to enterprise security baselines, network hardening protocols, and industry best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional hands-on working experience in enterprise networking, wireless engineering, and firewall administration.
• Deep technical proficiency in Ruckus wireless platforms (Smart Zone, Cloud, RUCKUS One, Unleashed).
• Strong practical expertise in Forti Gate firewall configuration, routing, NAT, VPNs, and High Availability setups.
• Proven operational experience managing multi-vendor switching environments (Cisco, Aruba, HPE, Dell).
• Solid understanding of VLANs, DHCP, DNS, 802.1X, RADIUS, Wireshark log analysis, and RF optimization.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional communication capabilities.

• Professional networking certifications such as Fortinet NSE4/NSE5, Ruckus/Comm Scope Certified Administrator, CCNA, or CCNP.
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN deployment, cloud-managed networking, and enterprise network automation (Python, Ansible).
• Prior working experience in managed service providers (MSPs), system integrators, or corporate IT infrastructure teams across the UAE.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence for site visits and field support assignments across the Emirates.
• Advanced background in network security hardening and vulnerability assessments.
