Job Description
As a NOC Engineer supporting enterprise infrastructure and operations at HTP Global Technologies in Sharjah, UAE, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of 24×7 infrastructure monitoring, alert triage, and incident resolution. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring enterprise networks, servers, websites, applications, and cloud services using Site
24x7 and Manage Engine OpManager, validating alerts, performing initial troubleshooting, and managing incidents using BMC Helix / BMC Remedy. You will execute basic troubleshooting across TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server environments, track SLAs, participate in shift handovers, and coordinate closely with internal technical teams and external vendors. Furthermore, you will manage monitoring agents, probes, dashboards, alert workflows, and generate operational performance reports.
- Conduct 24×7 real-time monitoring of enterprise networks, servers, websites, web applications, and cloud services.
- Validate incoming alerts, perform initial fault diagnosis, troubleshoot anomalies, and execute proper escalation workflows.
- Manage end-to-end incident life cycles, problem tickets, change requests, and event management using BMC Helix / BMC Remedy.
- Administer and configure monitoring agents, probes, performance dashboards, and alert workflows using Site
24x7. - Perform basic networking and server troubleshooting including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and Windows Server event logs.
- Track service level agreements (SLAs), prepare shift handover logs, and deliver comprehensive operational reports.
- Coordinate seamlessly with internal engineering squads, IT support teams, and external vendor partners.
- Participate effectively in 24×7 rotational shift schedules to maintain continuous infrastructure availability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 4+ years of professional hands‑on experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or IT Infrastructure Monitoring environment.
- Proven practical experience with enterprise monitoring platforms such as Site
24x7, Manage Engine OpManager, or App Dynamics. - Hands‑on ITSM experience using ticketing suites like BMC Helix or BMC Remedy for incident, problem, and change management.
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN) and diagnostic tools (Ping, Trace route, NSLookup, Netstat).
- Strong Windows administration skills (Windows Server, Windows 10/11, event logs, services, Active Directory basics).
- Familiarity with web and application protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS certificates, REST APIs, port availability).
