Overview

Material Handling Supervisor

As a Material Handling Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within our warehouse in Sharjah, UAE. You will lead a team of material handlers and ensure that all materials are received, stored, and shipped efficiently and accurately.

• Plan and coordinate material handling operations including receiving, storing, and shipping of materials
• Supervise a team of material handlers and provide guidance and training as needed
• Ensure all materials are handled safely and stored in the appropriate locations within the warehouse
• Monitor inventory levels and work with purchasing department to order materials as needed
• Implement efficient processes to improve material handling operations
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe and proper functioning
• Enforce safety regulations and procedures for all material handling tasks

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in supply chain management is preferred
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• Knowledge of proper material handling techniques and equipment operation
• Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in basic computer skills such as data entry and email communication

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance, and operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Must be able to work in varying temperatures within the warehouse.
