Tool Room Designer

Design and optimize blow molds, injection molds, precision components, jigs, fixtures, and mechanical tooling from concept to trial, ensuring cost‑effective, manufacturable, and high‑precision solutions aligned with customer and production requirements.

• Design PET/HDPE blow molds and injection molds (core, cavity, inserts, sliders, lifters, cooling systems) using AutoCAD and Creo Parametric (Pro/E).
• Develop 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for molds, tooling, and precision components.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T, tolerances, materials, and surface finishes.
• Conduct reverse engineering from samples.
• Review customer specifications for feasibility, cost optimization, and performance improvement.

• Perform DFM analysis to improve machinability, assembly, mold life, and cycle time.
• Coordinate with CNC, EDM, and tool room teams during manufacturing.
• Support mold assembly, trials, and resolve design‑related issues.

• Maintain BOM, design revisions, ECNs, and engineering documentation.
• Ensure version control and compliance with company and customer standards.
• Support quality documentation and validation requirements.

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical or Tool & Die Engineering
• 3–5 years of mold design experience in a tool room/manufacturing setup
• Strong knowledge of blow and/or injection molding
• Hands‑on exposure to CNC, EDM, wire cut, and grinding processes

• AutoCAD, Creo Parametric (Pro/E), Mastercam
• Knowledge of CAM integration, CNC machining, GD&T, and mold manufacturing practices
