Structural Fabricator

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural steel fabrication drawings and shop drawings
• Measure, mark, cut, fit, and assemble structural steel members according to approved drawings
• Fabricate steel structures including beams, columns, trusses, staircases, platforms, handrails, ladders, canopies, and miscellaneous steel works
• Perform fit‑up activities and prepare components for welding
• Operate fabrication tools and equipment such as cutting machines, grinders, drilling machines, magnetic drills, and gas cutting equipment
• Ensure dimensions, alignment, and tolerances are maintained as per project specifications
• Coordinate with welders, foremen, and supervisors to achieve production targets
• Identify material shortages and report them to the supervisor
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area
• Follow company quality standards and HSE requirements at all times
• Assist in loading, unloading, and movement of fabricated materials when required

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Structural Fabricator in steel fabrication industries
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and structural steel details
• Experience in fabrication of heavy steel structures and miscellaneous steel works
• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as tape measures, spirit levels, squares, and calipers
• Familiarity with fabrication tools, cutting equipment, and workshop machinery
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good understanding of workshop safety practices
• GCC/UAE experience preferred
