Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Howco Group H&S Environmental and Quality policies
• Set and machine components as per drawing/routing instructions
• Interpret engineering drawings to customer specifications
• Create program as per drawing/routing instructions
• Perform 100% inspection on the produced parts
• Participate in problem resolution activities to achieve process and efficiency improvements
• Handle material (raw and machined) in a safe and effective manner as per HSE requirements
• Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained in accordance with company requirements
• Perform general tasks as and when required
• Maintain awareness of Howco HSE Policy and related policies
• Demonstrate CNC machining and tooling knowledge
• Operate Fanuc operating system
• Apply knowledge of engineering drawing and symbols
• Apply geometric dimensions and tolerances skills
• Use trigonometry skills
• Apply knowledge on ISO programming and functions
• Use knowledge of speeds, feeds, and tooling in relation to various materials
• Select material properties and inserts appropriately
• Apply lean manufacturing technology
• Willingness to accept ownership of housekeeping standards
• Maintain flexibility in work duties

• Awareness of HSE, existence and key points
• Minimum 10 years’ experience, including 5 years in the Gulf, as a CNC machinist in setting, machining and programming
• High school/trade certificate qualification and working knowledge of measuring instruments
• Previous experience in improvement activities
• Similar experience in material handling, crane and forklift operations
• Positive attitude towards operational change

• Knowledge of CNC machining and tooling
• Proficiency with Fanuc operating system
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and symbols
• Geometric dimensions and tolerances expertise
• Strong trigonometry skills
• ISO programming and function knowledge
• Speed, feed and tooling selection for various materials
• Understanding of material properties and insert selection
• Lean manufacturing technology application
