The UAV Composite Technician is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, repair, and finishing of composite components used in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The role requires hands‑on expertise in advanced composite materials and strict a⁷dherence to aerospace quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manufacture composite parts using prepreg, wet lay‑up, vacuum bagging, and infusion techniques
- Perform cutting, lay‑up, curing, trimming, and bonding of composite structures
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, ply books, and work instructions
- Prepare molds and tools, including cleaning, release agent application, and tool setup
- Execute vacuum bagging and autoclave/oven curing processes
- Carry out finishing operations such as sanding, drilling, and edge trimming
- Perform composite repairs and rework in line with aerospace standards
- Conduct in‑process inspections and report defects or non‑conformities
- Ensure compliance with quality systems (ISO 9001 / AS9100) and HSE procedures
- Maintain accurate production records and traceability documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in cost, quality, and delivery
