We are looking for an organized and responsible Factory / Production Coordinator to support the day-to-day production activities of our Dramatic Doors workshop. The coordinator will be responsible for maintaining bill and expense records, updating tasks and production status in the company software, and monitoring the daily work of CNC operators, carpenters, polishers and other factory workers. This role requires someone who is comfortable working directly on the factory floor, following up with workers, maintaining accurate records and ensuring assigned production activities are progressing according to schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor the daily work and progress of CNC operators, carpenters, polishers and other production workers.
- Coordinate daily production activities and follow up on assigned tasks.
- Update tasks, status, progress and completion details in the company's task/project management software.
- Maintain accurate bill entries, purchase bills, petty expenses and other factory-related records.
- Collect invoices, delivery notes and supporting documents and ensure they are properly recorded and filed.
- Maintain records of materials received, issued and consumed for production where required.
- Track the progress of each door/job through different production stages such as wood preparation, joining, CNC carving, carpentry, sanding, polishing/finishing and final assembly.
- Follow up with workers regarding pending and delayed tasks and report delays to management.
- Maintain a daily production/work progress report.
- Coordinate with purchasing, administration and management regarding material or production requirements.
- Help maintain proper organization and discipline on the factory floor.
- Report machinery problems, material shortages, quality concerns and production delays to management.
- Assist in maintaining basic records related to machinery operation, maintenance and production downtime.
- Ensure completed work is properly recorded before moving to the next production stage.
- Support management with any other production coordination or administrative activities required for the factory.
4+ years of experience in factory coordination, production coordination, workshop administration, manufacturing, carpentry/joinery or a similar environment preferred.
- Good computer skills and comfortable using Excel, task-management software and basic business applications.
- Able to maintain bills, invoices, expenses and production records accurately.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with factory workers and management.
- Organized and capable of handling multiple production activities simultaneously.
- Willing to spend significant time on the factory floor rather than only doing office work.
- Basic understanding of production processes and machinery is preferred.
- Previous experience working around CNC machines, woodworking machinery or other industrial machinery will be an added advantage.
- Experience in woodworking, furniture, joinery, doors or interior-fit-out manufacturing will be an added advantage.
- Candidates should be practical, responsible and comfortable following up with workers to ensure tasks are completed on time.
