About the Company Our client is an established UAE-based manufacturer specialising in low-voltage electrical switch gear power distribution panels and customised electrical enclosures With in-house manufacturing capabilities covering sheet metal fabrication surface finishing and electrical panel assembly the company serves industrial and commercial power distribution requirements
Role Overview We are seeking a hands‑on Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily shop-floor operations with a strong focus on sheet metal fabrication production efficiency quality control and workforce management The ideal candidate will have a practical results-oriented approach a firm and authoritative presence on the shop floor and the ability to maintain high standards of productivity safety and accountability
Salary upto 6 5k AED Transportation medical air ticket allowances
Working days- 6 days Working hours 8 am to 6pm
Key Responsibilities Production Fabrication- Supervise daily sheet metal fabrication activities including laser cutting punching bending forming and welding
- Ensure all fabricated components meet engineering drawings dimensional tolerances and quality specifications
- Verify bend allowances tooling selection machine settings and first-piece inspection results
- Ensure job cards production records and inspection documentation are completed accurately
- Monitor production schedules output and delivery deadlines
- Directly supervise fabrication operators welders and shop-floor personnel
- Allocate tasks according to workers skills workload and production priorities
- Monitor attendance shift schedules overtime and workforce productivity
- Train new employees and develop existing team members
- Maintain discipline accountability and a proactive results-driven working environment
- Coordinate with planning engineering quality and stores teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Identify bottlenecks minimise machine downtime and eliminate unnecessary idle time
- Ensure timely material requisitions and proper identification handling and storage of materials
- Implement 5S practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste scrap and rework
- Report production progress operational issues and resource requirements to management
- Enforce company safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment PPE
- Conduct toolbox talks workplace inspections and safety checks
- Ensure machinery is operated correctly and maintained in good working condition
- Escalate equipment malfunctions quality deviations and production delays promptly
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role, preferably in sheet metal fabrication.
- Significant hands‑on knowledge of sheet metal cutting, bending and welding processes.
- Practical experience operating CNC laser cutting machines - mandatory.
- Good understanding of CNC press brake operations, bending allowances, punches, dies and tooling.
- Knowledge of TIG, MIG, spot and laser welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and job travelers/job cards.
- Proven ability to supervise and manage blue-copper production teams.
- Fluency in Hindi is mandatory.
- A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Welding or a related technical discipline is preferred; relevant technical qualifications and hands‑on experience will also be considered.
- Experience in electrical switch gear, low-voltage panel or electrical enclosure manufacturing.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Metalix, Cyp Cut, Solid Works or other CAD/CAM tools.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and production reporting.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication and workforce coordination skills.
The successful candidate will be a practical, disciplined and decisive shop-floor leader who can manage production teams effectively, maintain strict quality and safety standards, and consistently deliver production targets.
Candidates with direct experience in sheet metal enclosures, electrical panels, switch gear or similar precision metal fabrication environments are particularly encouraged to apply.
