Printing Operator – Flexo | Al Bayader International | UAE

Al Bayader International is actively seeking an experienced and skilled Printing Operator – Flexo to join our growing production team in Sharjah, UAE on a full-time permanent on-site basis. In this critical printing and packaging role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses, ensuring uncompromised print quality, color accuracy, and production efficiency. As a Printing Operator – Flexo supporting advanced packaging manufacturing at Al Bayader International in Sharjah, you will take full operational and technical ownership of flexographic press operations, job changeovers, viscosity monitoring, and print quality validation. Your day-to-day responsibilities include mounting printing plates, preparing and matching ink colors, adjusting web tension and impression pressures, inspecting printed substrates for defects, and performing routine press maintenance.

You will utilize your proactive, hands-on technical aptitude to deliver flawless visual packaging results. • Operate, monitor, and adjust multi-color flexographic printing presses (CI flexo or stack flexo) for packaging substrates.
• Perform rapid job changeovers, plate mounting, registration setup, and impression cylinder adjustments.
• Prepare, mix, and test printing inks, managing viscosity, pH levels, and color matching against approved client proofs.
• Monitor web tension, dryer temperatures, register accuracy, and print quality throughout production runs.
• Troubleshoot flexo printing defects (e.g., dot gain, bleeding, pinning, misregistration, smudging) and execute corrective actions.
• Conduct routine cleaning of anilox rollers, doctor blades, ink chambers, and impression drums.
• Maintain meticulous production records, ink consumption logs, waste reports, and quality inspection sign-offs.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines, environmental standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Technical Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive professional experience operating flexographic printing presses in the packaging or printing industry.
• Strong practical hands-on expertise in CI flexo / stack flexo presses, plate mounting, and ink color matching.
• In-depth knowledge of flexographic substrates (films, paper, board), UV/solvent/water-based inks, and viscosity control.
• Keen color vision, attention to detail, and proficiency with spectrophotometers and inspection tools.
• Mandatory legal work eligibility in the United Arab Emirates with local residency and availability for on-site operations in Sharjah.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking capabilities in fast-paced production environments.
• High professional accountability, reliability, and readiness to work in rotating shifts.

• Prior professional working experience in multinational packaging converting plants in the UAE or GCC region.
• Experience with LED-UV curing systems and automated ink dispensing units.
• Familiarity with digital workflow prepress and CTP plate making.
• Basic understanding of food-grade packaging safety regulations.
