- Set up and configure powder coating equipment ensuring optimal settings for different materials and finishes
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning and masking components to achieve a high-quality powder finish
- Mix and test powder coatings to ensure consistency and adherence to specifications before application
- Operate powder coating machines monitoring the process closely for any deviations or issues
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficiency
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance checking for defects such as uneven coverage or improper curing
- Document production data including batch numbers and application parameters for quality control and traceability
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and resolve any operational challenges
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations ensuring a safe working environment
- Continuously seek improvements in processes and techniques to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in coating or manufacturing is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in powder coating or a related manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with powder coating equipment and processes, including electrostatic spray technology.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, as well as stand for extended periods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including work orders and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance in every aspect of the job.
- Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment and process issues effectively.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues.
