Registered Nurse - OPD

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and offer advice and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Assess and identify patient needs, implement and monitor medical plans and treatments.
• Work with a team of physicians, health care specialists, and allied health professionals in various settings.
• Perform systematic patient assessment and re‑assessment, collect relevant data, and analyze it to determine nursing diagnoses, problems, and issues.
• Define predicted and expected outcomes of the patient’s planned care.
• Create and evaluate patient care plans collaboratively with the interprofessional team, the patient, and bystanders.
• Record vital signs, recognize abnormalities, and address them, escalating when necessary.
• Maintain and update technical and clinical skills related to nursing practice and employ strategies to promote patient health and a safe environment.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory examinations, and perform essential life support (Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, etc.).
• Prepare patients for medical examination and treatment, administer medications, IV fluids, or blood products, and monitor for side effects and reactions.
• Provide wound care management and assist in medical procedures, invasive or non‑invasive, as needed.
• Facilitate safe patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.

• Appropriate license to work as a registered nurse with the relevant regulatory health authority, managing own professional re‑licensure.
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
• Willingly work across departments when necessary.
• Clear and effective communication in English (spoken and written).

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of an inter‑professional team.
• Organizational and administrative skills for using an electronic medical record platform for clinical documentation.
• Proficient in Arabic.
