Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive newborn assessments including physical examinations, vital sign monitoring, and developmental screenings to identify potential health concerns early on.
- Provide expert guidance to parents on newborn care such as feeding techniques, breastfeeding and formula, bathing, and safe sleep practices, empowering them to confidently care for their baby.
- Administer vaccinations and other preventative medical treatments according to established protocols, ensuring the baby's health and safety.
- Offer emotional support and education to new parents, addressing common concerns like postpartum depression, infant crying, and sibling adjustment.
- Possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, demonstrating a strong foundation in nursing principles.
- Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, allowing you to practice nursing within the specific jurisdiction.
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), showcasing your ability to handle emergencies.
- Have at least 2 years of experience in a pediatric or well-baby setting, allowing you to demonstrate your expertise.
