Position Summary

The Quality Officer is responsible for coordinating, maintaining, and continuously improving the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. The role supports compliance, documentation control, internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure consistent product and service quality.

Working closely with the Food Safety Officer, the Quality Officer ensures alignment between quality and food safety systems while supporting compliance with regulatory, customer, and certification requirements across all operations.

Key Responsibilities Quality Management System (ISO 9001)
  • Coordinate the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Conduct internal audits and branch inspections to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and company requirements.
  • Prepare quality reports, data analysis, and recommendations for management reviews.
  • Work closely with the Food Safety Officer to align Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
Equipment & Infrastructure
  • Coordinate with Operations to monitor equipment, infrastructure, and operational processes impacting quality.
  • Ensure administrative and back-office activities comply with company SOPs and QMS requirements.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to ensure purchased products and services meet quality standards.
Training & Development
  • Coordinate and document quality-related training programs.
  • Train and coach Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams on quality standards and SOPs.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and maintain competency records.
Policies, Procedures & SOPs
  • Develop, maintain, and update quality policies, procedures, SOPs, and operational checklists.
  • Monitor implementation and consistency across all branches.
  • Maintain records of deviations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor quality KPIs, including:
    • Audit results
    • Waste levels
    • Guest complaints
    • Service consistency
  • Analyze trends and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Prepare structured reports with corrective and preventive action recommendations.
Regulatory Compliance & Workplace Safety
  • Support compliance with labor regulations, occupational health & safety requirements, and fire safety standards.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective actions to reduce workplace risks.
  • Support continuous compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Brand audit scores consistently exceed 90% across all markets.
  • 95% of corrective actions are closed within 14 calendar days with documented root cause analysis.
  • Zero critical health or workplace safety violations annually.
  • At least 85% of employees trained and certified annually on quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related discipline.
  • Additional certifications in Quality Assurance, HACCP, ISO 22000, and/or ISO 9001 are highly preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Food Safety, preferably within multi-site restaurant or hospitality operations.
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) and/or Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH).
  • Proficiency in audit tools, reporting systems, dashboards, and Microsoft Office.
  • Good knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements, internal audits, compliance, and management review processes.
