Dean of Research Position Summary

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the institution's research strategy.

- Lead the design and implementation of research capability development programs for faculty.
- Develop and oversee doctoral supervision training aligned with international best practices.

- Manage research budgets and oversee the grant submission and research project proposal processes.
- Oversee all higher degree by research (HDR) programs.
- Coordinate admissions and provide support for research capability programs for both staff and students.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary research collaboration within the institution.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry, government, and external stakeholders to maximize research impact.
- Collaborate with other institutional leaders to align research initiatives with strategic planning.
- Measure, evaluate, and report on research outcomes and impact.
Represent the institution on research committees and at national and international forums.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications and Skills Academic Credentials
- An earned PhD in a field relevant to the institution's mission.
- A strong personal track record of research, with ideal expertise in quantitative or mixed methods research within education or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with institutional priorities.
- Proven experience in providing strategic direction and leading academic or research teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Experience leading initiatives involving diverse stakeholders.
- Direct experience in budget management and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English.
