Organize the overall research and development activities of wood coating products to analyze and improve product formulas, manufacturing procedures, lifecycle, and quality testing to deliver products that reflect NPFCL strategic objectives.
Develop innovative and high performing products by analyzing customer insights, competitor products, expert technical knowledge and by efficiently collaborating with cross functional teams.
Desired Candidate ProfileDevelop and deliver high quality wood coating products and cost effective projects in line with NPFCL strategic objectives.
Update, revise and maintain laboratory’s quality system and Standard Operating Procedures.
Perform analytical testing to identify new formulations, process improvements, and cost savings techniques.
Design, run, trouble shoot and improve processes on LABSCALE and production.
Present developed products to the management and provide them product specifications, uses, qualities and market expected demand and other types of details which may help them to launch the product in market.
Provide training to concerned production section, quality section, and other relevant department regarding newly developed product and improved products.
Conduct batch test for samples from new raw materials/ manufacturer pre-shipment and report. Analyze the competitor’s product by doing reverse engineering and comparing with the NPFCL product and further analyze the difference of qualities and used materials.
Coordinate for ordering laboratory equipment, calibration and technical troubleshooting as required.
Ensure that proper stability study & shelf life determination are carried out regularly especially for newly developed products under research observation periods and preparation of regular reports for R&D Manager.
Ensure the lab is organized, monitor supplies and adhere to safety standards during laboratory testing. Assist with laboratory administrative duties and perform other task/project as assigned by the R&D Manager.
