We are seeking an experienced, motivated and innovative Software Engineer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will design, develop and maintain the applications and services that support business operations across the organization, and will incorporate AI and LLM-powered capabilities where they add measurable value. The role is predominantly focused on core software engineering - back-end services, APIs, databases and front-end interfaces - with a defined component dedicated to modern AI applications, including chatbots, assistants and task-automation agents that address specific business use cases.

• Design, develop and deploy software applications and services that address real business needs
• Build and maintain back-end services, APIs, databases and front-end interfaces to a high standard
• Integrate AI and LLM-powered features into applications where they add value
• Develop agentic AI features - chatbots, assistants, task-automation agents - using LLMs, prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Test, monitor and optimize applications for accuracy, reliability, performance and cost
• Enhance and maintain existing applications, and keep clear technical documentation
• Collaborate with the System Analyst and development team to ensure requirements are implemented accurately
• Identify opportunities to apply software and, where suitable, AI capabilities across products and internal workflows, and develop prototypes
• Support the wider team in adopting modern software engineering and AI-assisted development practices responsibly

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline from an accredited university
• 2–3 years of software development experience in a reputable organization

• Demonstrated experience developing full-stack applications, including front-end, back-end services, APIs and databases
• Strong programming fundamentals, with the ability to integrate AI components into applications where required
• Working knowledge of LLM and AI concepts, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and the integration of AI services via APIs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective stakeholder communication, and a high level of attention to detail
