Job Purpose
- Coordinates and monitor day‑of operations ground activities across the network to ensure safe, efficient, and on‑time flight operations. Acts as the primary coordination focal point between COCC, hubs, stations, airport authorities, and ground handling teams to support turnaround performance, passenger handling, operational continuity, delay management, slot coordination, and disruption recovery while maintaining real‑time operational oversight and ensuring compliance with operational procedures, service standards, and regulatory requirements.
Result Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between COCC, hubs, stations, airport authorities, and ground handling teams to ensure operational readiness and coordination across the network.
- Coordinate with station managers, ramp teams, airport operations centers, and ground handling providers on turnaround progress, GSE availability, stand/gate assignments, and operational constraints.
- Monitor daily flight operations including departures, arrivals, delays, cancellations, diversions, and turnaround performance while maintaining an accurate real‑time operational overview.
- Identify, analyze, and document operational delays, determine root causes, assign applicable IATA delay codes, and support corrective and recovery actions.
- Prioritize delayed departures, manage slot‑sensitive operations, and coordinate turnaround compression activities where operationally safe to minimize network disruption.
- Coordinate and monitor special handling requirements including VIP/VVIP movements, wheelchair assistance, unaccompanied minors, oversized baggage, live animals, and cargo‑sensitive operations.
- Monitor passenger connections, coordinate gate holds where operationally justified, and support passenger reaccommodation activities including missed connections, stranded passengers, hotels, and transport arrangements.
- Coordinate with Passenger Control, Flight Planning, FMC, Crew Logistics, and Ground Operations teams to support operational continuity and day‑of operations recovery plans.
- Monitor airport slots, operational constraints, EOBT/AOBT/AIBT updates, and communicate operational changes, aircraft status, crew updates, and recovery plans to all relevant stakeholders.
- Track and analyze turnaround performance, ground time deviations, and handling inefficiencies while escalating operational risks that may impact schedule integrity.
- Complete detailed shift handover reports ensuring full situational awareness and continuity between shifts.
- Support OCC Shift Lead and Duty Manager by providing operational inputs, feasibility assessments, and ground operations coordination during disruptions and recovery activities.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Valid Flight or Ground Dispatcher License
- Knowledge about IATA AHM is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Fluent in English Language.
- 2–3 years of experience in operational control.
- Experience in airline operational control operations is an advantage.
